*It is not necessary to sign up in advance for packing shoeboxes. You will sign in at the lobby so we can get a good count. We will give you a bracelet and show you how to pack a shoebox.

Comfortable clothes and soft-soled shoes. You’ll be standing/walking and handling boxes. We also cannot allow hard soled shoes on the Gymnasium floor.
Yes. A food truck will be out front that you can purchase food and drink from. We do not allow food or drink inside the Gymnasium or the Sanctuary.
Yes. We’ll have bottled water and there are drinking fountains, but bring your own refillable bottle.
Families are welcome. Younger kids need a supervising adult. Use judgment—there’s active work (carts, tape, pallets). Kids love this event and it is an excellent opportunity to teach them about charity and how others may live in poverty.

Optional: a note or photo to include in boxes, your water bottle, and a servant attitude. We provide the packing supplies and box items.
We use our own labels with an OCC generated QR code so that we can track which countries our boxes go to. If you bring your own box, you can purchase a label at : Purchase Label and then track where your box goes directly.
Yes. We’ll have lobby greeters to explain how to pack and checkers to verify “fun, full, must-haves.”
Yes. We rotate registered volunteers every 1–2 hours and encourage breaks.
We have seated tasks (labeling, sorting) and standing tasks (stocking, cart running). Tell us what you need at check-in.
We have ample parking both around the church and in the large parking lot to the west of the church. Please do not park in front of any of the houses or the driveways. Please do not park in the desert to the east of the church.
We’ll be capturing event photos/video. If you prefer not to be photographed, tell the registration desk and we’ll mark your badge. We will mask the faces of children in publications where we do not have permission from parents to show them.

We will not be providing child care for this event.
If you will be helping with loading boxes, breaking down boxes, clean up or other heavy work we strongly recommend you provide your own work gloves.
